11 Quick and Nutritious Breakfast Ideas to Power Up Your Day

Blog post written by: Madelyn Trefzger

You know what they say, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” And, well, they may be right! Fueling your body throughout the day (starting in the morning) is vital to meeting your energy needs.

It is difficult for many people to eat breakfast most days due to a limited appetite, no time to prepare, or just not knowing what to make. Of course it’s much easier to grab a breakfast bar on your way out the door, but this leaves you hungry in about an hour. Choosing a carbohydrate to be paired with a protein, fruit and fat will help to keep you satisfied and full for longer (and keep you from feeling hungry at the end of the day). Let’s learn how to build a quick and easy yet fulfilling breakfast with a list of ideas:

  1. Make it simple. You have a busy day ahead of you and breakfast should be an easy first decision for the morning. Keep prepackaged options on hand to focus your breakfast around.

  2. Give yourself some variety. Choose different flavors of yogurt, a couple varieties of fruits, and multiple protein options to help meet any morning craving you come to breakfast with.
